AYEM School History

  • AYEM English Medium High School started their educational venture at the rural village of Kambotlapallem in West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh State in South India way back in the year 2002.

  • Around 2 decades ago, AYEM High School started their Educational Venture in Andhra Pradesh in India with only 2 Teachers.

  • At the beginning of starting AYEM School at Kambotlapallem in Andhra Pradesh, India, the School had a starting student strength of only 5 to 6 students.

  • The first and original name of AYEM School was SIR ARTHUR COTTON MEMORIAL SCHOOL. (Sir Arthur was an reputed Engineer from England who was responsible and directly involved in the building of the DHAVLESHWARAM DAM which brought water and prosperity to the Godavari region.)

  • During the humble beginnings of AYEM School, its classes were held right in the middle of the rice paddy fields with a simple shade of Coconut Palm Tree Leaves as its Classroom shelter.

  • For 2 years we were holding school classes in the Verandah of the house.
  • Then the Lankapalem Prayer Hall was built. Here the strength of the students grew to 25 numbers.

  • AYEM Management then rented an old damaged SUGARCANE REFINING BUILDING that was broken down and defunct and not operational. We refurbished and repaired the structure. In the Second year at this place, we adopted the new permanent name of AYEM that stands for Assembly of Yahweh English Medium School.

  •  AYEM School continued at the Sugarcane factory till we grew in student’s strength to a healthy number of 250 bonafide students. Six/Seven year’s approximately at this factory.

  • Finally in 2009, AYEM Trustees started construction on the newly purchased half acre land at Kambotlapallem.
  • The Ground floor and the first floor of the new school was constructed without walls and we sort of had an OPEN AIR SCHOOL for a little while.
  • The AYEM New School project was fully completed around 2015.
  • Small Building was done first.

  • In the year, 2012, around 1.25 Acres of open land was purchased as the Government insisted on having open playground space for the students for getting appropriate higher recognition's from Government. Main requirement of open land was for PLAYGROUND SPACE for children and students.

  • Two years back in the year 2019, AYEM purchased another HALF ACRE of land that connected and completed the whole school land project. Now it was one full united piece of land.
  • PRE COVID times, we had over 300 + admission of students in our present school.

  • POST COVID time, more than half of the students dropped out voluntarily and dropped out of the school.

  • Today AYEM has student admission strength of approximate 160 Students.
  • A lot of ONLINE CLASSES were organized post the Covid era.
  • 2023: Very few online classes. All fully qualified in school teachers at the premises.
